27th to 29th August 2024, Shenzhen, China
Zinergy attended the 24th international IoT exhibition in Shenzhen. This event is co-organised by the Shenzhen Institute of Standard and Technology, the IoT Association of Guangdong Province, the IoT Association of Shanghai, the China NB-IOT Industry Alliance, and the China RFID Industry Alliance. IOTE is the biggest and most comprehensive IoT exhibition in Asia.
Zinergy showcased a range of thin, safe, and flexible printed batteries that are specifically designed for their applications – minimizing waste and environmental impact. As Zinergy batteries utilize zinc carbon chemistry they are classified as “non-dangerous” goods and not subject to restrictive air or marine transportation regulations. Also, they do not contain toxic materials or heavy metals and can be disposed of in household waste.
“The show was a great success”, said Fulin Zheng, Zinergy’s business development manager in Asia. “We met our existing customers and many new customers from around the world. Our printed batteries use a water-based electrolyte, which is safer and more environmentally friendly than lithium systems. There is no risk of fire or explosion if the batteries are pierced or damaged, and they are thin and flexible, making them ideal for IoT and logistics applications.” Package-level monitoring is becoming increasingly critical for perishable items such as pharmaceuticals, plants and food. Smart labels that incorporate sensors can monitor temperature, humidity and shock, increasing transportation efficiencies and reducing wastage. “Zinergy has provided printed batteries for smart labels that record and store temperature data on-label, and then transmit the historical data wirelessly. We design our batteries to meet customer-driven product requirements, modifying shape, voltage, capacity and peak pulse currents as required. From sample to mass production, a rapid turnaround time of approximately one month helps our customers to accelerate product development”.
